What’s Kensington All About?

Kensington Presents started as an intimate series of concerts on our porch in Echo Park, and has grown into a performance series at non-traditional and established venues including The Viaduct, The York Manor, Resident and other spaces in and around LA - both indoors and out! The programming is still an eclectic mix and the crowds are still intimate. Mostly, we just wanted to activate more of the city and invite a few (thousand) more of our friends!

Who’s Behind It?

Mathieu Young, Founder & CEO
Mathieu Young is an acclaimed photographer, director, organizer and entrepreneur, whose clients include Bose, Samsung, Showtime, AmEx and Paramount Pictures. Kensington started on his front porch in Echo Park. In his spare time, you might find him building a gas lamp or flying a small plan over Santa Monica.

Scott Bauer, Vice President
With 10+ years of music industry experience as an event producer and talent buyer for some of the country’s top agencies and promoters, including WME and Nederlander Concerts, Scott runs Kensington day-to-day and leads all of our engagements. He also plays a mean guitar.

Micah Greenberg, Executive Producer
Before launching an award-winning creative agency, Micah honed his event concepting and marketing chops at KCRW, NPR and The Atlantic. He’s put on launch events for NPR Music and Warby Parker, and ran his own arts space in his native DC. He’ll write a poem for you anytime on his typewriter.
